Not sure what to say?

I shared many a trip with Syd. Cherished memories!!!

Every tine i think of Tucson, the memory of Syd overpowers me. A fantastic guy, i miss him

I have since moved out of town and I have found places to walk, but I have yet to find the kind of people here that embody the spirit of Sid and the rest of the park people that became friends.

Sid, MAZELTOV, thanks to you I've picked up a liking of wine. Beer I've had to learn on my own. We miss your wit.

Syd was the leader of several Grand Cannon trips I had the pleasure to be part of. A fine guy, with a zest for life and the out of doors. Great memories and lots of laughs. My sympathy to his family. A good man May his memory bring joy to all.

We love and miss you dad!

My parents always took us to Hirsh´s shoes. My long and narrow feet presented a real challenge. Mr. Hirsh was always so kind and tried to find the most stylish shoes available in my size. I have such fond memories of the store and wonderful Mr. Hirsh. My heart goes out to his family. May his memory always be a blessing.

As a teenage dancer in the 1970s & college student who took ballet classes at the UA for fun in the 1980s, I was always impressed with the specialists he hired to sell his dancewear. After not being in Hirsh's for at least a decade, I ran into Sid in the most unexpected of places in about 2001/2002. On a cold winter day, a friend and I went on a Sierra Club hike from where Speedway dead ends at the base of the Rincons to Mica Mountain. We started at dawn and returned back to flat land...

My heartfelt regards to Sid's love of his life, Marsha and his family. I am reeling for their loss because someone such as Sid is one of a kind. Sid was a wonderful and kind man who befriended me while walking at the park and Marsha was gracious to allow me into their home. All of us park buddies missed him when he moved, but always thought that we would see him again. . . Covid came. We will miss him all the more now.
