Sidney Robert Ludwig

Great guy!

Today is Mr. Ludwig's birthday, right, on Flag Day? He was my adored sixth grade teacher at Baird Road School in 1961-62. My mother joked that my dinnertime conversation throughout that year always began with Mr. Ludwig said.... I wish I had reached out to him while he was still alive in order to thank him for being one of my very favorite teachers ever. I remember him as being thoughtful, interesting, and funny. In addition to being an excellent teacher, he served Penfield as a volunteer...

Ed was at Code Enforcement & Fire Inspector school today and looked for Sid when he was told of his passing. We always enjoyed Sid when Ed was a Penfield fireman in 1968 and later when Sid was our daughter's (Juliet) teacher at Harris Hill. Our prayers will be for his family to have comfort knowing how much he was admired and respected.

Our sincere condolences to Sid's family. Sid was such a caring individual and jumped to our Dad's side when suffering from heat stroke. The Penfield community will miss such a great man.

We truly lost a pillar of the Penfield community. The Feigel family and the Ludwig family go way back on Baird Road.
