Not sure what to say?

On behalf of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Comfort Tyler Chapter (Syracuse), we send our condolences to the family. Forget Me Not Don´t remember me not with sadness, Don´t remember me with tears, Remember all the laughter, We´ve shared throughout the years, Now I am contented, That my life it was worthwhile. Knowing that I passed along the way, I made somebody smile, When you are walking down the street, And you´ve got me on your mind, I´m walking in your footsteps, Only half a...

I met Sidney years ago when he did Pulmonary Rehab with me. What a character! Everyone at rehab instantly loved him! I so enjoyed getting to know him ! He told me many stories, including how he met Amy. His goal at the time was to play pickleball again! He lived a long full life ! I am so saddened to hear of his passing and my heart goes out to his family , and Amy... you share a special bond with me via the Scheer´s. I still have the weights you personalized for Billy and I. Love to you ,...

To my friend Sydney, It´s hard to believe I´m writing this to you now, knowing you´re no longer here in the way I´ve always known. But I felt it was important to say these things, even if it´s just to honor the impact you´ve had on my life. You were more than just a friend,You taught me how to refine my sense of right and wrong, how to stand firm in my convictions, and how to embrace fearlessness, even when life seemed daunting. You were a gentleman in every sense of the word, yet you still...

We honor the life of Sidney Manes, a man whose unwavering support and kindness left an indelible mark on my family. Sidney was more than a lawyer, he was a friend to us, Sidney was family. We often told him, "You will always be a Rivas," and he embraced that role wholeheartedly. Sidney stood by our side through the most challenging times, offering strength, guidance, and hope during my Uncle Hector Rivas´s wrongful conviction and the relentless battles that followed. He fought tirelessly...

Dear Matt, Ave, and Katie, Way back in the 70's, your parents saved me. I had two of the best summers ever looking after you. Sidney & Sue had such fulfilling lives together and their marriage was enviable. I hope they're partying in heaven together having cocktails and eating marinated herring on triscuits. Love to you all, Lisa (Orgain) Jackson

Our deepest condolences to the family from the Bonner family.

I had the pleasure of playing tennis with Sid many times. Also knew him through SFCM.

Sidney was never afraid to take on the people in power in the interest of helping the little guy. His tenacity in taking on the medical examiner in the Nanette Gordon case and the DA in the Hector Rivas case was a marvel to watch, and for me to cover as a reporter. I loved Sidney's sense of humor and kindness. And despite our age difference of about 30 years, he was always challenging me to take him on in tennis. That tenacity was ever present. I'll miss you, Sidney. Rest in peace.

Amazing lawyer and friend. We worked closely together on the Hector Rivas case for several years. Dedicated and tenacious is how I describe him. And loving and kind to all. My wife and I spent weekends with him and his lovely family at his house on the St. Lawrence. Beautiful place. Beautiful people. No sadness; only gladness for a life so well-lived. He had purpose till his last breath. Hope to see you again my old friend. RIP Rich Langone
