Sidney, you were one of a kind. I always enjoyed our conversations at the Golden Gate Breakfast Club. Thank you for the wisdom you shared.

Hello my name is Randy Coleman I´m a fine art´s illustrator he in San Francisco Sidney introduced himself to me on Facebook several years ago he said my art work was incredible! As a result I sent him multiple packs of my drawings eventually he asked if I could draw the museum of finance so I did and I also draw the NY stock exchange and soon after that he had them framed and hanging in his office on post street we would exchange holiday /Christmas cards for many years I´ve just now found out...

Sid was one of the more colorful and fun people I met during my seven years as the Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution from 2000 to 2007. We kept in touch since that time and my wife and I loved to hear about his cruising adventures. It is, indeed, fortunate he lived a long and fruitful life and was able to touch so many others with his kindness, excellent sense of humor and creativity. Truly a life to be celebrated! Lawrence M. Small former Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution

Sending my condolences to Sidney´s beloved family. I had the pleasure of meeting Sid as he was designing one of his works of art and later giving him a ride to a mutual friend's daughter's wedding in the Napa Valley. Always a joy to be around, with a smile and a creative gift. Bling was his thing and I am lucky to have an autographed copy of his book "ONE OF A KIND" The Jeweled Art Creations of Sidney Mobell. A treasure to keep. He worked tirelessly at his artistic craft and in his...

Sidney was a gem. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He had an infectious smile and a twinkle in his eye at all times. Our deepest condolenses to his family as we will all miss him.

Sidney Mobell was a very kind and generous friend. I had the distinct honor of sailing with him on numerous world voyages while I worked as a jeweler on Cunard Lines. On this photo we had the last chocolate fallen cake before the restaurant changed the name and menu. It was one of Sidney´s favorite desserts on board Queen Mary 2. Sidney was really one of a kind and a true gentleman. He treated all human beings alike and made many friends amongst officers and crew as well as guests from all...

Sending my greetings and condolences to Sidney´s beloved family. I was privileged to know him, serving alongside him on charitable and civic boards, and invited from time to time into the "inner sanctum" of his fabulous Union Square store to see his latest creations along with some early stages of design. He was creative, lots of fun, big-hearted, eccentric in spirit...truly one of a kind and a renaissance man for our time. He will be remembered and regaled for who he was: a brilliant,...
