I was so blessed to consider Sidney a special friend while I worked at Atria on the Hudson. I will never forget his singing, his storytelling, his wisdom, his neverending charm - truly, charm that went on for miles. My life is richer for having known him and I am forever grateful for the way he made me feel about myself. Thank you, Sidney.

One thing missing is the mention of Sid's dedication as a Baystate Medical Center ICU volunteer . His commitment and dedication was a gift. Thank you my friend.

I met Sidney and Elizabeth, on one of their annual B-24 reunions, while in a line to buy bagels. I said to my wife, "There are a lot of tourists in town (St. Charles, Mo.) today." A voice behind me said, "I am a tourists" and from that meeting a friendship was formed. In our phone conversations and letters, Sidney did not talk or write much about his war experiences but he did like to talk about WW1 planes.
