Not sure what to say?

I just found out today of the loss of Dr. Pestka. I only knew him for a relatively short time from my work at Parker at Monroe but I found him to be one of the sweetest people I've ever met. I am SO sorry for your loss! Indeed, the world has lost a very special person. Again, my deepest condolences.

I just learned the sad news of Sid's death. We were colleagues at Rutgers-UMDNJ for 9 years (1990-1999) when I was the Chairman of the Rutgers Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. Sid and I worked closely together to establish and fund the Joint Graduate Program in Molecular Biosciences. It was a pleasure to work with him. He will be missed. My best wishes to his family.

I really appreciate the few times I was having personal and professional problems and he would give me a few minutes to listen.
His accomplishments were many, yet he hardly ever talked about them.

I am honored to have worked for him.
