August 18, 2018

Sienne Lenae (Cole) Ackermann was called home to the Lord on Saturday, August 18, 2018. She passed away peacefully in her home at Big Lake, WA surrounded by loved ones.

Sienne was born on November 10, 1964 in Mount Vernon. She grew up in Big Lake and was a member of the Sedro-Woolley High School class of 1983. After high school, she attained an Associates of Arts degree from Skagit Valley College.

In 1982, Sienne met her best friend, and the love of her life, Timothy Jon Ackermann. They were married on July 27, 1984, and together they raised four children, who she adored and devoted her life to, in their Big Lake home.

From 1983 to 2010, Sienne and her mother owned and operated Seasons Fine Furniture in Mount Vernon. She worked as an interior design consultant and used her sense for style and design to help Skagit County clients dress and stage their homes and businesses.

Even in her work, her love for her family and devotion as a mother was apparent in the newspaper ads for the store that she would place in the Skagit Valley Herald, which would always feature her children.

Besides decorating, Sienne loved cooking and all things beautiful, including her flower gardens. More than these things, though, she always put others before herself. She was committed to Jesus and wanted to serve others as he did. As she battled cancer, our community came around her with support, which reflected that same level of commitment and blessed her greatly. Sienne will be lovingly remembered by her mother Ranae McFadden (Chip Logsdon), her father Bill (Jenny) McFadden, her husband Tim Ackermann, their four children, Stephyn (Sarah), Carlin (Nikki), Ted (Annamae), Hadley Rose, her brother Steen (Julie) McFadden, her grandchildren Phoenix, Jameson, Reighlynn, and her mother and father-in-law Ben (Gerry) Ackermann. Her father Randy Cole preceded her in death.

The family offers many thanks to our community for surrounding us with love and support during Sienne's illness. She would want memorials to be the continuance of that love and for it to be spread to others. We know who our friends are and we love you all.

A graveside service will be held for Sienne at the Hawthorne Lawn at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 25, and will be followed by a celebration of life at the family home in Big Lake at 2:00 PM.
