What a wonderful Principal he was - I have very fond memories of Mr. Block and the entire Block family - they were fun, generous and kind. My deepest condolences to Mrs. Block and all the children and grandchildren and especially Beth, a good friend from High School. Blessings to you all. Elaine Pike West, Beaver Island, MI

I have just found out about Sievert's passing. I am so sorry to hear this. I moved out of Michigan two years ago and have just stumbled on the notice in M-Live website. I worked closely with Sievert through the years he was the Pupil Accounting Auditor for the MAISD schools. I can still hear his voice "Greetings and Salutations to you on this fine morning...." Condolences to your family on the passing of a wonderful man. Enjoyed him as a teacher as I entered Montague High from a rural elementary school. Enjoyed his kindness and sense of humor. We will celebrate his life as we mourn his passing. Marlene Lohman Class of 1960

Karen and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Your father was a GREAT man. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was a Montague High School graduate in 1967. My deepest sympathy to your family. I always liked and respected him very much.

Dear Aunt Marge & family, I'm so sorry to hear about Uncle Sev. My thoughts & prayers are with you during this sad time. It has been years since I've seen Uncle Sev, but I will always remember how gentle and sweet he was. Love to you all. Debbie

A great neighbor and high school principal. When I picture him, he's always smiling. Thanks for the memories, Mr. Block.

So sorry to hear of his passing. I will miss seeing both Mr. And Mrs. Block walking past the house. It was nice to pop out and visit with them. "Greetings and salutation" Love, Denine Jelinek DCth6
