Not sure what to say?

I worked with Sigrid back in the 1980's at Community Hospital. She was one of THE BEST nurses I ever worked alongside. The best compliment I can give his is that I always thought that if I was ever seriously ill in the hospital, she would be THE ONE I'd have wanted to care for me.

When I got married in 1978 she called me while she was in Europe and I still treasure the wedding gift she brought home to us. It is a picture she took, while in Ireland, of a small thatched cottage on...

Sigrid was my rock on 2 West. My heart is aching. Love to all of you.

I met Sigrid in 1989 as a new RN at Dominican Hospital. Her excellent care, skills and empathy made a deep impression on me. She was a fearless patient and nurse advocate. As we organized to become a part of the California Nurses Association her commitment was unwavering. She was on the team which negotiated our first contract and several more. She was steadfast in her vision and leaves a legacy that improved the lives of the patients, nurses and other coworkers at Dominican Hospital. To the...

Sigrid was an inspiration to me: she was committed to a healthy life and had a grounded attitude toward illness and death. Go well, Sigrid.

I was shocked and saddened to read of Sigrid's passing. I knew her and Allan as part of the early morning swimming "tribe" at the Spa Fitness Center, then In Shape. They were both just lovely people and always open to good conversation. Sigrid told me of her cancer a couple of years ago but it seemed like she was doing well, and was a regular at the pool until very recently. I will miss her. My deepest condolences to her family.

I had the honor and pleasure to work with Sigrid at Dominican Hospital for many years. I was an Anestheiologist and interacted with Sigrid often up on the 2West Med SURG ward. She was exemplary in her duties to patient care and a very personable and witty colleague. Nothing phased her... nothing. I am truly saddened by this news.
