Not sure what to say?

4yrs ago, my daughter, Emily, was volunteering at a nursing home in Middleburgh Heights, OH, to earn service hours for her Confirmation class. While volunteering, she met and instantly became friends with Mr. Jessup. She spoke of him after every visit to the nursing home. He insisted she call him Grandpa Bill. She loved that because 4yrs earlier, she had lost her wonderful grandpa. I finally got the chance to meet Grandpa Bill and I knew instantly what a kind, smart and brave man he was....

This message may be late, but it is heartfelt. I bought the Jessups home on Wolf Lane, as they transitioned to Florida. They were so kind to me, as it was my first house. We kept in touch until recently. I had no idea of Bill illness or passing, until my Christmas card was returned. My condolences to the the family and I will always remember Bill and JoAnn as forever friends.

I am happy to have met Bill at Worthington Place, I am a Hearing Care specialist and made it a point to see Bill when I was there. He was ever so pleasant and made sure he always said something nice and tried his best to help others. I am ever so grateful for his service in the Military!! RIP Bill

Missing him terribly, but glad he is no longer in pain and can rest in peace. He was more than a father-in-law to me; he called me son and I called him Dad because that's how our relationship was. Happy I could help Dan care for him the last 5 years. Even though much of that time was challenging for him and his caregivers, it was precious time indeed.

Rest in peace, Dad. Now you are back together with Mom. We'll enjoy the wonderful memories and think many happy thoughts of you both.

Sorry to hear of his passing he was a friend. Will be missed at the Marine Corps Ball. Sincerely Chris Carter Chaplain Marine Corps League Detachment 1396
