Silas Edward Southern

I am a retired family doctor in California. In my other life I was a track fan. I followed Eddie's career all my early life. My prize is a picture of Bobby Morrow, Eddie Southern and me that was taken when they both came to the Church that I attended in Los Angeles.

The longer we live ,the more we lose. We lost a good one this time. The 1950´s were the best of times. Fast Eddie will be remembered . A Bison ,a Longhorn and a real gentleman.so long my friend

Eddie Southern was one of our Oak Cliff Stars and what was known as "Big Man on Campus" as it was hard to top "Sunset and Adamson High Schools" They have made "movies" out of our "Real Lives"...not so sure they make 'em like us anymore....Rest in Peace Eddie....You are "one of a kind" in a time that was also "one of a time"...Barbara Williams Sisk..Adamson '58

I am saddened to hear of Eddie´s passing. He was a friend and valued business associate for many years in our catering profession, a great chef. We go back to Sunset vs. Adamson. He will be greatly missed. A great athlete.
