I was in high school with Woodie. He was a redneck, real conservative, and I wasn't but we were friends. We hung out with the same wide circle of friends. He was 18, I was 15 and we hung out sometimes. We were wild and did things that maybe stretched the boundaries of the law some... well, we actually did some things that I'm not going to tell you about. Mostly related to drinking. We were wild kids. High school kids test the world and that's what we did. I've been happy to learn that...

As a boy scout in AShfield where I first met Woody and as stone mason, I knew his flare for the craft. He would always have a kind spirit and that did not change throughout our times we'd meet. I respected the work ethic and his attachment with keeping the natural things important. My condolances to the family and know he'll be very much missed, by many.
