She was an awsome indiviual and it was a true pleasure meeting her and i will never forget her clever sense of humor.

Betty & Marty Duffy (Chicago)

I had occasion to meet Dr. Silvana Mendendez frequently at Saint Elizabeth's hospital in Belleville. She was a very kind and pleasant lady. She will be deeply missed by her friends on the staff there, and by those of us who are retired from there.

My daughter meet her just a few months ago at St. Elizabeths, I also had the please of speaking with her. She was a caring, loving person. I am sure she will be missed by a lot of people. My sympathies to your family.

Dr. Menendez was a great woman with an incredible sense of humor, great compassion and a great psychiatrist who helped so many people. I knew her professionally and saw her almost weekly for the last 8 years, as she was the psychiatrist of many of my patients. She had a great passion for chocolate, and she frequently hit me up for some. I am deeply sorry for the loss of such a wonderful woman. Please accept my deepest sympathy and know that I, along with a great many people at my nursing...

To the family of Dr. Menedez: Your mother was a wonderful person and physician. I worked with her on occassion at Memorial. She was always upbeat, positive and a pleasure to be around. A class act. She even introduced me to lobster albanello at her favorite restaurant. Again, I am so sorry for your loss.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

As a nurse on a medical floor at Memorial I would occasionally work with your Mom when she would come to our floor to see a consult. What a breath of fresh air she was, always happy and so much fun to be around. I am so sorry for your loss. I know that you miss her terribly. I always admired the perfume that she wore and one day she brought me some. How kind was that. My deepest sympathy to you.
Sincerely,
Josie Blankenship R.N.
