Not sure what to say?

My condolences to his family.

Arrivederche, Silvano. I always enjoyed our conversations of the world of soccer and your beloved "Azure" the Italian national team. I will be thinking of you in 2026 when the World Cup comes to America! Peace be with you.

The world will be minus a great surgeon and a wonderful person. A true gentleman! My heartfelt condolences to your family.

I have been honored to know and work with Dr. Macchiaroli. Silvano was a gentleman, an exceptional person and oustanding physician. Silvano visited my office at Baystate Medical Center on a regular basis, enjoying discussing medicine, art and philosophy and sharing all our thoughts in Italian which we both spoke fluently. I am saddened of his passing and wish the family my deepest condolences. He had a good life and will be remembered with love and joy. Giovanna M. Crisi

My husband, Barry F. Sachs, M.D. was a colleague and friend of Silvano. Barry died almost 6 years ago but I know he would want me to express his condolences to the family. He always thought Silvano was a gentle, kind man and a very good surgeon I am very sad to hear that he has died and since I also knew Silvano, seeing him at surgical events or in the hospital where I also worked, I could always feel his warmth and caring. My daughter Andrea was also a friend of Marco's from their high...

Dea Lea and Family: It is with such sadness to learn that your dad passed away. Through you, Lea, I had the pleasure of meeting your kind, gentle and amazing father. It has been a long time, but I remember how often I would bump into him at the JCC where we both worked out. His caring manner always stood out, especially when he asked me how I was doing, my son, Andy and the rest of my family. Carole and Leonard Cohen

Our condolences from my entire family! So sorry to hear this just now at 4 pm!!! ( when we called Carl to ask him something) It is hard, at any age...... as you know, that I know! Your father was a magnificent, elegant man, who was admired by all ! We have not "Lost" them, they are with us...just talk to him. Diane Bassett Zable and Family

I have wonderful memories of Dr. Macchiaroli (and family) relaxing by the pool of the Longmeadow Field Club. He (and Mrs. Macchiaroli) were always so kind and friendly. My thoughts are with his family and am sure his warm legacy is already underway.

Dr. Macchiaroli was in a class all his own. A remarkably brilliant, skilled, and gentle man whom my parents trusted and adored. My parents talked of him as though he were family, and on the very first time I met him, I smiled and understood.
