Not sure what to say?

I just received a call from Si's neighbor (who had received my holiday card) alterting me to his passing. I have such fond memories of him. I clerked for him at Hartford Superior Court. He was my mentor, my friend and one of my biggest fans. He was a great support to me through good times and bad. He was so spry, full of wit and overflowing with love for his family and his dear Marion. He lived a good life and I can only hope to measure up one little iota to his. I am so sorry for your...

To Si's family. The Cohen family, like the Dobkins were among the early Jewish settlers in the Ellington/Rockville area. Si often told me that my Dad, Leon Dobkin was a great encouragement in his political career. I worked for his campaign when he ran for Attorney General. To you I say: :Say not in grief he is no more but live in thankfulness that he was." I share your sorrow.

Dear Jim, David and Vernice,
You know I loved Uncle Si and my visits with him. He was a wonderful man and lived a long and fruitful life. I am sorry I was unable to be in CN to comfort you.
Please know you are in my thoughts.
I feel your loss and send you love. I have special memories of your beloved dad. He will be missed by all of us.

In 1958 when Si was leaving the U S Attorney's post and I was leaving Judge J. Joseph Smith as his law clerk, I joined Si Cohen in the practice of law at 410 Asylum St. It was a glorious year. He ran for Attorney General, We had some great and interesting cases in State, Federal and State Supreme court. Then he was appointed to the newly formed Circuit Court bench after just missing an appointment to the federal court bench due to a broken promise. He was a friend, a good lawyer and a...

Dear David, Jim and Vernice, We extend our sincerest condolences to you and the extended family on the loss of your Dad. Love, The David Nemser Freedman Family, Barb, Jon and Peter

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Si was a beloved and respected member of an elite band of men and women who are the proud graduates of the United States Attorney's office for the District of Connecticut. My condolences to Jim and the rest of the family.

When my husband first started his business Mr Cohen helped him by giving him his first heating job and a place for his business on Brooklyn St in Rockville. We thought very highly of him. I will always remember him.
