Well, crabbing season is comming up,can't remember a year that I didn't crack a crab with Si, damn Si, did ya see they cut our limit down to 5. just thinking about ya, hope your doing well.

one thing grampa was not the greatest at was the colonary arts, there was the time that he cooked breakfast at the cabin in Omak, pancakes were one of his specialities, unfourtunatly for Jeromy and Kyle the main ingredeance was corn meal, to this day I dont think the boys eat pancakes, Happy birthday Grampa

It was an honor to know Simon and my condolances to all of you.

It was around 1970, Grampa had bought a small cedar sale up above Darrington, I helped him buck up and load bolts to be sold in Arlington for shakes, Grampa was always one to save a nickel, so we loaded the black ford four tiers above the cab. Oh my god it was the biggest and most akward load that I had ever seen. I thought to myself as we tied it down " this is going to be an interesting ride down windy 530, And indeed it was, He made me drive! I was 12..................by the way we did...

Some of the greatest memories of my early life had to do with Simon I really did not realize how much a part of it he was and yes, I too have been simonized many times. One time Jer and I were at the cabin during a 2 week stay about 3 days into it I woke up with pneumonia. I layed in bed for three days my whole body ached. Jer was gone and I hear a rig pull up and here come Simon walking thru the door. He says to me what do you think your doing, theres wood to be chopped, get up. I explained...
