The late Tim Russert, in his chapter 20 of his book, "Big Russ and Me: Father and Son: Lessons of Life," wrote about loss. Russert wrote about his friend, Michael Gartner, who lost his 17-year old son to acute juvenile diabetes. Sending my sincere sympathy.

So sorry to hear about this. My condolences.

Sarah and Brian,

Doug and I are so sorry to hear about Simon's passing. Though we did not have the pleasure of knowing him well, it was always such a delight to hear Matt talk about Simon's kind and gentle spirit. Please know our thoughts are with you and your family. We are truly sorry.

To the Palmer family I send my condolences. Simon was such a positive force in the lives of so many. He will be missed.
