Not sure what to say?

Blessings to the family. Our prayers are with you during this time of tragedy and loss.

I, too, was shocked and saddened upon hearing of Simon's untimely passing. He was vital to my neuroradiology education during my residency years at OHSU 1990-1994. Witty, quirky, sharp as anyone I have met before or since, he left a satisfying legacy to my years in the program. I can recall discussions of hockey, crossword puzzles, and even movies such as the angiography scene in "The Exorcist" among the usual academia in the course of a work day. Such an enjoyable person to converse with! My...

As a radiographic technologist at the Portland VA,I interacted with Dr. Roman-Goldstein on various occasions, usually to pester him with non-neuroradiologic issues, given the chronic staffing shortages at the VA. Invariably,Simon was a patient and witty guy. I remember him going with some of us RadTechs out to the McMenamin's Mission Theater/pub and watching movies and hoisting back a pint or two.He was a funny guy and so down-to-earth. I admired him for his keen intelligence and also for his...

I remember Simon from his visits to Minnesota many years ago. My family and I join you in mourning the loss of our fine cousin. Shalom!

From Joe Berman (ben David, ben Reuben)

Simon was a mench and an upbeat, wonderful friend. I am confused and distraught with the news. Mostly, I regret that I did not have more time with him and did not get to be there for him in his time of need. I can't imagine what his family must be going through. May the Source of all things comfort you amidst the mourners of Jerusalem.
With love and prayers, Sam

I too am very sorry to hear of Simon's death. My send my deepest sympathies and condolences to all of you.

Love from the Cowan and Prussack Family

I didn't really know Simon. I think I may have met him once or twice. I cannot begin to imagine the trauma experienced by those who knew and loved him. You must support each other, console each other with the memories of good things that he did in his life, and know that the sun will shine tomorrow. Life is a precious gift.

So very shocked and saddened to hear of Simon's death -- my deepest and most sincere sympathies and condolences to the entire family.
