Not sure what to say?

Our deep sorrow for the loss of our beloved brother Simon. He will be remembered forever. Our condolence to Maureen, Simone, Roula, and Gerry

Simon Seikaly was born in 1935 in Haifa, Palestine. At the age of thirteen, he and his four siblings and parents carried a few belongings and fled the 1948 war to Egypt. They hoped to return to their ancestral lands a few days later, after the cessation of fire. The day of return never came.

Velvet wings so light, so pure
They sparkled as they flew
Surrounding me
White butterflies
Reminding me of you

They tickled me, made me laugh
I chuckled for awhile
And just like you
White butterflies
Turned sorrow into smiles

One landed on my shoulder
And nestled in my hair
For...
