Not sure what to say?

Dear Danny and Judy, I'm so sorry to hear about your father. He was such a nice man with a great sense of humor. I haven't seen him since he moved to Gainesville, but I remember him well. He and your mother were so nice to my family and me.

What a wonderful friend, Simon Weiss. Always telling a story and making one laugh and look on the lighter side of things. I will miss him and his friendship. My condolences to his family and other many friends.

Reflecting back over decades I remember the Brownie meetings, overnights, sitting by the piano, setting up the grocery store on 8th street - fond memories of a childhood long gone and those that made it so indelible in my mind. So sorry for your loss.

I spent many afternoons stopping by Mr. Weiss' house when I was a young kid. He and his wife would always greet me with a smile and let me have some of their candy and spend time talking to me after school. I really enjoyed my time with Mr. Weiss. I will always remember Mr. Weiss as that special neighbor whose selflessness and warmth drew all to him. My son, Joey, was especially fond of him. The young boy and the older man became friends and formed a memorable bond together. My prayers go out to his family during their time of grief. A kinder man I have never met.

Simon was a great friend to me. I visited him several times in Gainesville after he moved from Miami and he was always wonderful. He will be missed greatly. Sorry I can't come.
Love, Roberta
