Read MoreI met Simone at the Orange Parachute Center when I was a young Marine and a budding Sky Diver. She was a good friend, and visited me several years later when I was at the U.S. Naval Academy. I last contacted her about 10 years ago, and she told me of climbing on the cable supports of the Golden Gate Bridge with some friends! I wish I had been better at staying in contact. She lived an active and caring life.

There are so many wonderful memories with Simone beginning when we were about 12 years old at the Marhiasen family Camp Danmark in the Adirondacks and through our young years and up to the present.

Simone has been a great light in my life. Going back to 1975, she and my father spoke a great deal about building their first greenhouses. And then she was a friend of the family from there on. We attended many cookouts and such with her. In addition she was a great emotional support for me personally when I was a troubled teenager.
