I am Robert Tarrant Jr. I met Skitch and Mike Weed @1977 78 .I invited them to skate with me and my fiends at a pool we had cleaned for the privilege to skate. I rode bare foot and showed Skitch the gorrila grip move and he showed me how to do his V sit push up cross over.to hand stand.Mike had a knot on his forearm that was as big as a golfball.This was in Chattanooga Tn. I learned to " Gorilla Grip " following Skitch in Skateboard Magazine in the '70s As a New Yorker, growing up skating in Central Park, I would sand off the front and tail of a GS Fiberflex. The would have THREE people lie down side by side and another TWO on top.
