He had already left home by the time I was born, but I remember his Mom's stories about his travels when I was a child. He touched many lives, and I know he will be missed by all who knew him. I'm sorry I never had the chance to meet him in person.

About 25 years ago, Sleepy performed at radio station WDVR-FM in a small town in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. At the time, we had a tiny venue upstairs in the building where the studio was. It was quite something for us to have someone like Sleepy come to our area and he did a great show. WDVR is a noncommercial, nonprofit, listener supported station and in February of 2020, we will celebrate 30 years of broadcasting.
