Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory - Ballwin Obituary

We are saddened by the passing of Dr. Smita S. Parikh.  Dr. Parikh's unwavering dedication and vitality touched countless lives. Her legacy of service and spirituality will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Born on July 17, 1946, and passing peacefully on December 1, 2024, Dr. Parikh was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend whose strength and independence brought inspiration and motivation to all around her. Her faith, devotion, and work ethic were evident in every aspect of her life.  She was a distinguished radiologist, and a dedicated devotee to the Hindu Temple of St. Louis, as well as one of its leaders.

In accordance with her wishes, her family will honor her life with a private funeral. This reflects the humility and dignity that defined her.

May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her loved ones find solace in the beautiful memories they shared with her.

Not sure what to say?

Dr Parikh, your beauty -interior and exterior- was only surpassed by your nobility of spirit, your generosity of heart, and the dignity with which you led your life. I felt such immense admiration and utter respect for you!

Our deepest sympathies to the Parikh Family! Smitaben was an inspirational being, and has left a beautiful legacy for the community to emulate. We pray that the candle she lit in all our hearts keeps shining bright!
Aum Shanti, Shanti Shanti!

Sharad Uncle and family,
We are so sorry for your loss and we are thinking of you all during this difficult time. We will treasure all of our fond memories of Smita Aunti.

I had the privilege of working with Dr. Smita Parikh over the past several years and was impressed by her work ethic and her commitment to improving the lives of all women in our community. She and her husband established a Mammogram Assistance Fund at Christian Hospital because they firmly believed that all women should be able to access care and screening for breast cancer. Dr. Parikh individually touched many women's lives through her direct care for them, and the Parikh fund will continue...
