Socorro Aguirre was called to her heavenly home on January 6, 2024 at the age of 101. She is survived by her daughters Elsa Reyes (Daniel), Yolanda Turner (Robin), Annie Johnson (David Brunk) and brother Benjamin Laborin.
She will be greatly missed by her 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
She has joined her husband Prospero, a brother and 3 sisters, and daughters Cristina Garcia ((Ernie) and Gloria Dini. She has also joined granddaughter Celina Reyes and grandson Cory Johnson.
Socorro was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish since 1955 and volunteered with the St Vincent de Paul Society.
Socorro was an employee of the Gadsden Hotel for many years until her retirement.
She was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
A Rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m. on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Immaculate Conception church followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Douglas, Arizona.
A Celebration of Life will be held starting at 1:30 p.m. at the YMCA, 1000 Pan American Avenue in Douglas.
