My deepest condolences to all of Socorro's family. I grew up in Royal City community, with most of the Ortega family. Pearl is my age and Socorro is a year younger. My two favorite memories are going to BBCC together, and having a sociology class together. It was a class I wasn't excited to take, but ended up being a great experience, and I enjoyed being in it with Socorro each day.
