Sofia was my voice teacher when she was an instructor at Kings College. She was amazing and was the best voice teacher of my life. She made the world of music a very magical place, and I will never forget her. My condolences to Ellen and the rest of the family! Ingrid Carlson DeMarco

I am so sorry to hear this news. Ms. Steffan was my voice teacher at Manhattanville for my 4 yrs there. She was tough but always encouraged me. She saw something in me that I didn't see in myself. I was privileged to sing along side her in The Medium and A Hand of Bridge, during a summer opera workshop. I continued with her after I graduated until I moved from the area. Such a talented and wonderful lady. I will always remember her.
