I worked for Sol at Hillcrest Pharmacy for two years while also working at Morningside Pharmacy with Norm. He taught me a lot. I enjoyed working for him. I later changed my mind from pharmacist to Deputy Sheriff were I have since retired. I also coached Little league teams. He would always ask how we were doing. We almost made it to San Bernardino. May He Rest In Peace.

We met Slick when we moved to LA in 1979. He was always a welcoming presence with a mischievous sparkle in his eyes. Reading this obituary was fascinating. What a life. Please accept our warmest condolences.

So sorry; I meant to write that Sol was my boss 45 years ago; not for 45 years. I was a high school student at Inglewood High.
