Not sure what to say?

Just found this obit about Joe and I am so sad to hear this. I truly thought Joe would live forever and ever! I know that he and my dad (David Ellner) are together somehow, walking and talking and conspiring! Sending love to all of you.

Rest in peace dear Joe Carris. You were dearly loved by all your family. You were their rock and wisdom. I am so pleased that I met the Carris family and became immersed in their lives. Sincerely, Deb Browne from Australia

Joe Carris was the best friend I've had in my life. I want to thank you very much for your friendship. We met when I was 20 and he was 60, despite him and my father being the same age, his jovial spirit made him look like my older brother; and he will always be my older brother. A great friend and my dear teacher of life. He leaves a great legacy of life for me of fullness, vitality, balance, generosity and especially energy. It was he who taught me the meaning of living fully with "mente...

Of many friends and classmates, Joe and I became very good friends. I miss the many conversations and meals we had together.

I met Joe through another good friend John Potter. Joe and John had dinner once a week. I met Joe there for the first time. After John passed Joe and I continued to talk on the phone frequently. Joe was a lovely man and our conversations were always delightful. We both loved chocolate and I sent him homemade fudge every Christmas from Denver. I send my condolences to Joe´s family. I will miss my friend, Joe.

As a longtime friend of his daughter, I have fond memories of Joe's outgoing and friendly nature, and his general enthusiasm for life. He always seemed a wonderful father. (And I remember that convertible! What a thrill as a grade-schooler to ride down Park Avenue with the top down!) My very deep condolences to the family. Joe will be missed!

Will truly miss my steadfast friend and the fun we had together over more than a decade of weekly luncheons. Joe was a loving and lovable man.

Joe was a bright light I will miss at Yale-based events. CTI forever!
