Sol Pargament

I grew up with the Pargament kids--Jeff, Kenny, and Marcia--in NE Washington DC in the 1950s. Our families, along with 6 others, were very close, celebrating holidays and birthdays together. Sol was one of the favorite Dads in the group--always friendly and interested in what I was doing. In more recent times I saw Sol several times in Leisure World and he was still the same lively and interesting individual. I am saddened by his passing.

For about a decade, Sol helped out in historical collections, identifying objects due to his long career as a medical and surgical equipment salesman. As a former salesman, Sol had an inexhaustible fund of corny jokes and stories too. He was a good man, a good friend and a real asset to the National Museum of Health & Medicine. We hadn’t seen much of him since his health started failing, but he’ll be missed.

We are saddened to learn of the loss of a dear family friend who always brought smiles to everyone around. The Pargament family is in our thoughts and prayers.

We are deeply saddened by Sol's passing. We always looked forward to seeing him and enjoyed his pleasant demeanor and sense of humor. He brightened our days. But most of all we'll remember him for his love of family and the pride he took in their many accomplishments. May your memories of Sol be a source of peace and comfort to you during this difficult time. Our sympathy to the Pargament family.
