Solange Cody

To the Family,

I met Solange in 1973 at the age of 17. She had just recently opened her shop on Connecticut Ave. and had a help wanted sign in the window. She was very understanding of me starting my freshman year at MD Univ. and agreed to me working on Saturdays. We hit it off very quickly and began to show each other sewing tips / secrets. We had many challenging projects throughout the years, but we always had each other's back. I left Georgetown in 1986 to pursue another...

Tatie, nous avons mis longtemps avant de faire vraiment connaissance, mais les moments partagés ont été si forts... Ils sont gravés pour toujours. Où que tu soies dans l'univers, je t'embrasse très fort, en formant le voeu que toutes les preuves d'amour que je lis ici te tiennent chaud dans ton éternité.

Tu ne t'inquiètes plus pour ta grande soeur, mais tu lui manques comme elle t'aurait manqué. Ce 12 juillet, nos coeurs et nos âmes sont à Arlington, où je viendrai te voir dès que...

We miss your mother, we enjoyed all the wonderful visits and helping her when she called. I'm going to miss her lights, not on in the middle of the night ( she was a night owl) She was a great neighbor and friend.
