Not sure what to say?

Mammie,
I was 9 years old when I met you. I was so impressed by the tall and elegant lady standing in front of me. I was supposed to call you "grandma" but you didn't look like a "grandma":-)
First holidays together and the word "mammie" came naturally. You and David were wonderful to me, more than discovering a new country, I discovered my family.
I will never forget each moment spent together and all the support you gave me, especially those last two years. I will tell my...

To the Family,

I met Solange in 1973 at the age of 17. She had just recently opened her shop on Connecticut Ave. and had a help wanted sign in the window. She was very understanding of me starting my freshman year at MD Univ. and agreed to me working on Saturdays. We hit it off very quickly and began to show each other sewing tips / secrets. We had many challenging projects throughout the years, but we always had each other's back. I left Georgetown in 1986 to pursue another...

I don't even really have words for how I feel about this wonderful woman. She was like a grandmother to me and a mother to my mother when our family was far away. She was even such a big part of my husband and my wedding day. She always had a sassy comment and a warm hug. Two things I loved very much about her. She was full of incredible strength, love, and beauty. I am just so happy that she knew our Lord Jesus and has been made perfect; with no tears, pain, or suffering. What a glorious...

Adieu, petite soeur. Dors en paix.

Mimie.

Dear family,
You are on my heart and in my prayers today... That god will reach down and fill you with His peace and strength that through you mourning, you will find the strength to embrace life. Yours now, and the wonderful life Solange lived before us.
God bless you and yours today,
Isela

We miss your mother, we enjoyed all the wonderful visits and helping her when she called. I'm going to miss her lights, not on in the middle of the night ( she was a night owl) She was a great neighbor and friend.

Mrs. Cody you have taught me so many things and were indeed an inspiration. We had so many special moments together early in my life and I will never forget them and therefore I will never forget you. Thank you for your light.

Love,
Andrea + Regina Pippins
