Judith, TIME is the healer of all wounds. Solly was a fighter.
We know that God is in control of all our lives. I pray that you will allow God to wrap His loving arms around you and give comfort. Remember the children's bible verse. "Let the little children come unto Me and I will give you rest." Solly is resting now in the Father's arms.

I remember the first time I met Solly Ward….
You know how you feel when you meet someone whom you know is very special and you want to know more closely? When we met, I could tell that Solly was not well and was in pain, but that never dampened his enthusiasm in helping kids through baseball. I learned later that he went to dialysis treatments three times a week and yet he sought us out to be sure we were the point program to help kids. Harold Craw, Lerone Johnson, Troy Strother and...

Ms. Judy, as you know Solly was a great teacher, a thinker. I am a beneficiary of his mentorship. I admired his partnership with you and the cooperative impact you and Solly made on the community, your shared vision. I pray God's peace and strength for your family.
