Not sure what to say?

I bought Solveig's Open Office book and was so impressed with her grasp of how to present the complex simply.

I am sorry she is gone. I am sure it is even a greater sadness for those who knew her better than I did. May you be comforted.

What a bright light she was! Full of fun, wit, and intelligence. A shining star among our BlogBuddies!

Solveig, my son Erik and her parents in 1977--Auke Bay , AK

Solveig was a valued member of our Audio/visual department at Concordia College. I was the manager at the time, and our student workers were the best. I am sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers to her family.

Solveig was a classmate of mine at Concordia. I admired her strength and wit. I remember her great debates and this obituary honors her perfectly. My sympathies to the Haugland family.

Soveig played poker at our weekly poker table in the early days. As this was mostly men, it took a little thick skin to tolerate it. Everyone liked Solveig and being that I'm also 48, I find this particularly shocking. My condolences.

I have fond memories of Solveig at HHH runs, and I will always appreciate the wonderful debates that she sparked on Facebook. She touched my life only briefly, but in so many ways memorably. We send our deepest condolences and sympathies to her family and friends. She will be missed!

I met Solveig in high school. We had a few classes together and I got to know her better on the Speech and Debate team. I reconnected with her on Facebook a few years back when I found out that we only lived about 50 miles apart in Colorado. I was fortunate enough to get together with her a couple times for a beer or coffee over the last two years. However, I certainly wish I had been able to spend more time with her. She will be missed.

I wish that I would have lived closer to Solveig to get to know her better.I have a good memory of her when she joined us cousins in song at the celebration of my parents, (her Aunt and Uncle's) 50th anniversary, many years ago. I communicated with her through Christmas pictures cards with letter, then also during the loss of her Mother and later her Father, Palmer, my dad's youngest brother. We missed not being able to see her when we were out to Kalispell to visit with her Mom and Dad when...
