Sondra or Sunny as we call her was a great, caring and most of all loving grandma

I first met Sondra when I was seven years old and the family moved in across the street. She was always there for fishing in Ithan Creek, hot cocoa after skiing and sledding down the hill behind her house, and trips to the Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings. She epitomized for me the definition of a "true lady" with an unseen strength to family and friends. A true competitor on both the golf course and the paddle court, and a heart warm enough to capture the heart of even a seven year old...

Having stopped by Surrey Services a few weeks ago, I learned with sadness that Mrs. Scott had been ill. Over the years, she had created a lovely home and gardens at the address on Parkes Run that we have been honored to share. Please allow me to extend deepest sympathies to the entire Scott family on the loss of a woman who conveyed such quiet grace, warmth and kindness.

My heart is heavy with sadness upon the loss of this lovely and lively lady. Her grace, quiet wit, and steady guidance produced a wonderful collection of children who grew to be incredible individuals in their own right, but who maintained their family unit even as they scattered far and wide. Sondra touched me in many ways, beginning with the first time she met me: as a two year old toddling around in the foundation of her house under construction.
