LUSTER WESTFIELD - Miss Sonia Renee Luster, 16, of Westfield, passed away Friday, September 19, 2008. Miss Luster was born in Snellville, GA., December 19, 1991 to Scott Luster and Della Caruthers Luster. She was a Junior at North Stokes High School. Sonia will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Surviving are her mother, Della Luster; her father, Scott Luster; grandparents, Jerry Caruthers of Westfield; grandmother, Joan Caruthers of Mt. Airy; aunts, Nancy Caruthers of Mt. Airy; Becky Gillenwater and husband Danny of Mt. Airy; and an uncle, Clark Luster and wife Lori of Atlanta, GA and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Flat Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by Dr. David Sparks and the Rev. Pat Patterson. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Moody Funeral Home. The family wishes to express a special thank you to all of Sonia' s friends at North Stokes High School for making her feel so welcome here. It has been 12 years since Sonia was taken from this world and it seems like it was only yesterday we were just kids playing in her backyard at Ms. Dee and Mr. Scott’s house adventuring around the old farm at Sangree Farms. I still remember thinking her Bassett hound was the coolest dog ever as we ran around her yard. Sonia taught me to play a little bit on the piano and taught me to braid hair. She also taught me to befriend any and everyone. Even though we were just in elementary school...
