~AUNT SONJA~ WAS SUCH A SWEET,CALM, AND UNDERSTANDING AUNT. THE LAST TIME I WAS IN OJAI I SAT AND TALKED WITH HER FOR A GOOD HOUR OR SO. SHE WAS SO AT PEACE WITH EVERYTHING AROUND HER, TELLING ME ABOUT HOW MY UNCLE MIKE BUILT HER A ROOM/POOL HOUSE WITH A BUNCH OF SCRAPS from THINGS IN HIS BACKSHED AND JUST UPDATING ME WITH THINGS ABOUT OUR HUGE FAMILY. IT WAS SUCH A NICE VISIT. AUNT SONJA'S SMILE FROM EAR TO EAR WAS SO CALMING. SHE WILL BE MISSED DEARLY, SHE IS NOW AT PEACE AND NO LONGER IN...

I have always remembered Sonja Isbell (Barrett) as one of my favorite 5th grade students at Ojai Elementary School. She had a beautiful smile, a pleasing personality and was so helpful to all her classmates. I am sorry to read of her passing.

I went through elementary and jr high with Sonja, and I always remembered her kind heart. You don't forget people like that.

I would likke to send my sympathy to Sonyas family.Sonya was my counselor. God blessed me with her at a very dark time in my life. She saw me through alot of tears,yet we laughed alot also.I was lucky she would share with me also, we both had familys and she let me in a bit.I was ver blessed to become fiends with my counselor I been missing her alot. This time of year I started wandering how she was and I am so sorry for everyones loss,but I know that she is in a greater place.She is with us...

Sonja was a classmate from the Nordhoff class of 67. She already knew Jesus before meeting Him face-to-face. Hope all make that step. She will certainly be missed by all. My prayers are with Mike and family.

Sonja will be with her Lord before her grave. She was a great lady and a long time freind and neighbor. She will be missed, but we all no she is in a better place. I Pray Mike and the Kids are at peace. Chip
