Not sure what to say?

I just found out about Prof. Sonja Krause´s passing during a conversation with my PhD advisor who was her colleague. Prof. Krause was a member of my PhD committee and also a person from who I sought professional input during the course of my doctoral work. She was a brilliant person who taught me the importance of scientific rigor. It is because of my robust conversations with her I got interested in polymer physics and biophysics. She was an asset to the RPI Chemistry department and a role...

Sonja was an amazing mentor and research advisor. I loved her quick wit and practical nature. She is missed and I am honored to have known her.

Sonja and her husband lived for a while in a retirement community near Helen and me. We shared some enjoyable restaurant dinners. Sonja moved back to the Albany area after Walter passed away. She was an interesting person as you can see from her obituary. - Mort Sternheim

Sonja was the greatest godmother for whom a young boy could wish. More than 50 years later, I still treasure some of her gifts.

We got to know Sonja as we often drove her to and from meetings of our group of former Peace Corps Volunteers. She never lost her edge, her stories and perspective. We will miss her.

On behalf of the Peace Corps community, our most sincere condolences to Sonja's family and friends for your tragic loss. I am grateful for Sonja's service to her country as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nigeria, and know that she positively impacted many people in her lifetime of service to others.

We knew her from the RPCV/NENY group. We are sorry for your loss. We will miss her.
