Not sure what to say?

I was just informed of this and was completely floored. I had the pleasure of getting to know Sonja for a brief stretch of time. She was funny, fiery, inspiring and caring. Her music was always beautiful. Sending so much love to her in spirit and to her loved ones now and ever.

I met Sonja whose was with her sister at Bolletto Winery. She touched my heart the moment i met her and her sister. She told me about the cancer. You could see her sister adored her. I followed her on Instagram through her last year but lost track when I didn’t see any posts. I can’t imagine the feelings of lost her family must feel.

What a beautiful and positive, inquisitive and inspiring person that i am graced to have been friends with. Her dedication to music, magic and a positive, loving relationship with the world around her has left a lasting impression on me. I am so sad to learn of her passing and offer deep condolences to her family.

There are many images and stories that stand out from our couple years of friendship in college. One I recall vividly is a time when she left al of her sheet music on...

Much love and i miss your laugh. Palm springs was a hell of a time with you. 2020 sucks anyway but its worse without u

Always burning in your memory, Sonja

We were blessed to have Sonja with us at Meany Center for the Performing Arts, she left a lasting impression and will be sorely missed in this world which desperately needs such beautiful souls.

I am grateful for the privilege to have lived with a Coymans for several years in the early 2000s. Their home was full of lightness and love and their beautiful daughters were a great part of this. Thank you Sonja for the short time I had with you and the your open heart that was always felt. Sending love and healing to Carolyn Marit and Olaf.
