Not sure what to say?

I had the good fortune to work with Sonja at Vernon Middle School for one school year. It was during my first year as principal there, and Sonja helped guide me through my rookie year process. She was very kind and gentle and was a tremendous help to me as well as with all the students and staff who ever came to the office seeking help and assistance. Sonja will be missed greatly by everyone who knew her.

Sonja was a delightfully kind, positive, fun lady. I was a teacher at Vernon Middle School when she was a secretary there. She was greatly missed when she left. Prayers for your family. Your memories are precious!

I worked with Sonja at Linn County. She was such a wonderful woman and a great asset to our department. I always enjoyed our talks and how fun she was to be around. My condolences to her family.

She is a nice lady and she says good morning and how is your day going

Joe and family,
My deepest sympathy in your loss of Sonja. I became acquainted with you and Sonja in our time at Merchants National Bank. I worked in the Installment Loan Dept. We did run into each other a few times over the years but it has been quite a while now. I was also a bowler. You were a lovely couple. May your memories and the Lord comfort you at this sad time. Joe and family

Just a really GREAT person to be around! We were team mates for many years in the senior leagues at May City Bowl. Will miss her great attitude and smile.

Joe and family,
I am so sorry to hear about Sonja’s passing. I treasure the memories we have of you both. I have never met any couple that are so kind to everyone. Sonja was always so kind and lifting everyone’s spirits with just her smile and kind words. Rest in peace sweet Sonja.

I'm very sorry to hear of Sonja's passing. We worked together years ago at Northwestern Bell in downtown Cedar Rapids. She was a good friend and work mate. We kept in touch occasionally over the years. The last time I saw her we got together for lunch with our former supervisor and had fun talking over old times. My sympathies to Joe and the family.
