Not sure what to say?

Never met you i wish I have.

I met Sonny in the early 1970s when his office was in my Father's building on 52nd Stree in Manhattan. We had a nice time and years later I spoke with him in Los Angeles and he remembered me. He was a great guy and proud of his career. Me too!

As a kid , I watched The Seven Ups and The French Connection . I wanted to be the NYPD . I became Midtown South and the 13th Pct Anti-Crime Unit. My Crime Sgt was John Lafferty's son , Danny . Danny introduced me to Sonny . Danny told Sonny , "You see the big guy he became a cop because of you and wants to meet you ." Sonny and I spoke . Sonny was the best of the best . I have a cherished picture from that meeting in 2001 . In the pic , I am much bigger than Sonny , but he was a giant to me ....

Can't believe that your gone even after all these years. Miss you my friend.

Rest in peace Mr Grosso

Thinking of you today Sonny, as I write about you and your shows such as 'Counterpart', 'Top Cops', 'Night Heat'. 'Secret Service' and the list goes on. Ron Stannett C.S.C. Director Of Photography.
