Sarnie Scott "Sonny" Hicks, age 64 died Saturday at his home in Cotton Plant. He was the lastborn child of eight in the family of G.W. and Lucille Hicks. Best known as a wonderful cook he owned many restuarants and cafes including, Sonny's Smokehouse in Searcy, Copper Kettle in Brinkley and Nanny's Kitchen in Cotton Plant. Sonny also worked about fourteen years for the Walmart Distributiion Center.
He was preceded in death
Parents: G.W. & Lucille Hicks
Siblings: Pete, Howard, David, Henry and Florence Hicks
Immediate family remaining
Wife: Ester Vance Hicks
Children: Sonny Gene Hicks of Des Arc, Michael (Teresa) Hicks of Brinkley, Debra (William) Mealler of Brinkley
Sisters: Linda (Bill) Calhoun of Glenmore, Louisiana and Onie McGraw of Beebe
