I grew up hearing stories of Sonny James, and his relationship to my grandfather, Hershel Burleson. I believe they were 1st Cousins.

I never knew Sonny James, though I heard much about him. I was told throughput my life that he was My Granfathers (Herschel Burleson) First Cousin. The stories of how James taught my Grandfather Guitar, and My Grandfather taught James to Swim.
