Not sure what to say?

Thinking of you guys and hoping everyone is doing great! I know Spencer´s presence lives on in each of you! That guy was one of the greats!!! I get a smile on my face thinking of "Spencerisms"!

I worked with Spencer on the aluminum extrusion for Tiger Stop. Of the truck-loads of extrusion that we made, the main extrusion for Tiger Stop was perhaps the most difficult in the factory. Spencer was always interesting. A favorite memory? The weird hat bin. Show up late for a meeting and you had to wear a hat. Miss that guy. Those were good times.

I lived next door to Spencer at boarding school in 8th grade. We fought like cats and dogs that first year, but for the next four years at The Hill School we really enjoyed each other´s company. He was a delight and for the rest of my life I´ve wished we lived in the same town. The world is a lesser place without Spencer!

I am in shock! Mary, Elizabeth and Nathaniel, thank you so much for sharing your father/husband/friend with us all! After reading the Wonderful heartfelt obituary I learned other things about him that are so Spencer like! Truly an AMAZING man and Karl and I feel honored and better off for knowing him! Our Love thoughts and prayers are with you! Sorry we just found out. Love you guys,
Sandra and Karl Usher

I knew him, not so well that I ever met any of you, but for a long time, having been a year ahead of him at Hill. After graduation, we did not stay in touch...we were not particularly close, despite both being from environs very unlike Pottstown...but our friendship was...

A remarkable autodidact. Generous even with unappreciative people. And, as the obit illustrates, endlessly entertaining.

I stumbled over this obituary and though I didn't know him, I wish I had. This was moving, funny and revealed a man whose immense love for life and multitude of talents was inspiring. No doubt his passing has been a crushing loss to his family and friends, but the world has also lost a remarkable man.

I hope he has found a place with my father and Arthur at that last great Couch Family Reunion. My sympathy with his family for such a loss.
