Not sure what to say?

I, a freshman from Downers Grove, Illinois met Spence, a freshman from Omaha, when we were pledges in Phi Gamma Delta fraternity at Iowa State University. In the years that we spent together at ISU, we became best buds. In fact I considered Spence not only a fraternity brother, but a member of my family as a second brother. We shared a basement apartment together at ISU and had many a great time while in school. Because ISU was on the quarter system at that time, we only had a couple of days...

Even though I only met Spencer once, he made an impression. My Mother knew him and respected him. His kindness and willingness to help was incredible. I am sure he will be missed by many. I hope the family finds comfort in realizing the many people Spencer helped. Prayers to the family.

Thank you for always taking my 90-year-old mom and her 98-year-old friend to church weekly, Spencer. Your kindness, compassion, and willingness to help others is greatly appreciated by my entire family. I feel honored and blessed to have known you. May you rest in peace and prayers to your family.

Single Memorial Tree

I have always enjoyed talking to Spencer, whether on the phone or visiting the bank. His soft, gentle ways, his smile and laughter. Such a blessed man I got to know. Not a good-bye but a see ya later in our heavenly home. Prayers for family and those who got to know him. Gail Gibson - Receptionist First Westroads Bank - West Dodge

Thank you for your service May you be Granted Steady winds and Calm Seas on your Journey to an Honorable Resting Peace

Spencer and I went to Rosehill grade school, we lived a block apart. He was an extraordinary accomplished man, in academics, professionally, and personally. Always engaging, interesting and upbeat.

Spencer was an enthusiastic, encouraging individual who always seemed to have something positive to say. His faith in Christ animated his conversation and his doings in life. It was my privilege to be his teacher in several classes and he was always eager to learn and grow. My last conversation with him at Legacy Crossings had him voicing to me several times: This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. May the light of Christ shine on Spencer now and forever.

Thank you for your military service
