I just found out about Spencer's passing today. Spencer was an amazing person and very kind. He had a great sense of humor and really loved his family. He had an understated elegance and was just such a good guy. I don't know really what to say because it is a shock. But, he shared his kindness and warm-hearted nature with everyone who he came in contact with. He will be missed and thought of with love by all who had the pleasure of knowing him and spending time with him.

Spencer was someone who would try to help you out, no matter how late it was, or how busy he was. I am sure my gratitude for knowing him is not unique. But I missed seeing him at our Associate Chief meetings, just to bond over lunch, and I will always appreciate the last time we all had dinner at Red Robin one evening. I appreciate his humility & kindness, and I celebrate his amazing accomplishments.

Spencer not only was my boss but also a great mentor he became a great friend of mine. I cherish the time I spent with him at work and away from work. He was always there for me. I was able to spend a lot of quality time with Spencer. I will truly miss him. Rest in Peace Dr. Wang.
