Not sure what to say?

I´m a bit late to say the least, I just stumbled across Spikes obit. Myself and others new Spike when he lived in Las Gatos, CA from when we knew him 1988-1990 or thereabouts. Like the obituary said, you knew him, and you didn´t. He was one of kind and fun to be around. A totally unique character. As the years passed, Spike a s I exchanged Christmas cards every year, always some whacky message with his little nail drawing instead of a signature. One year I forgot to send him a card. I got a...

Once upon a time, Spike helped me get a great, fancy phone number, which I haven't used for years. If anyone know how to activate the phone number, please email me at [email protected]

I worked for Spike in 1984/85 at Apple Pie Audio on Macadam Ave in SW Portland. What a great experience with a truly, one-of-a-kind personality. He taught me so much about sales in the high-end market. I will not forget, Spike.

This morning I received an email, as you may have, reminding me that today is the first anniversary of the passing of our dear friend Spike Friedman, and inviting me to add another note here. So I am.

It's hard to believe that it's been an entire year without Spike. I can't tell you how often I've had to pull myself back when I felt the impulse to call him to share something. And each time it hurt a bit.

THIS HOW SPIKE ROLLS...

Spike was a great guy, always something fun coming out of his mouth. If it wasn't "Hi Apple Pie" it was something else. I met him 40 years ago and then about every 5 years until I worked for him at the 1st Apple Pie. Such an interesting person. He really loved life. RIP SHTRM.

Heartbroken but grateful to have met him and to experience his amazing charm.

Debbie & Spike at Spike's Hot Dogs Portland, OR

Debbie and I will miss Spike dearly! He was a dreamer, who inspired those in his presence!

Saddened to just hear of the passing of our friend Spike. He was a good friend to all of us. One of the most unique people i have ever met.
RIP Spike
