Not sure what to say?

My funniest memory of Sister Maureen was the extremely large paddle mounted on the wall of her office at Saint James Elementary, labeled "Board of Education." Yet you quickly learned that she loved each child as her own, and she could never do anything to harm any of them. No one has ever lived the role of Christian better than she did.

Sr. Maureen was a real leader and represented the high standards we were raised with. As I look back, she was the rock of persistence and perseverance that built our young minds. Thank you Sr. Maureen, we looked up to you.

Sr. Maureen was such a big part of my childhood, as a student at St. James. She, along with Sr. Pat, Sr. Julie and the many teachers and coaches provided such a the best education in the city. She was a person that inspired such respect, love and even sometimes a little fear if you were misbehaving! At 55 years old, my friends and former classmates still hold her in such high regard. Godspeed "Big 50". You touched so many lives.

Sister Maureen was truly a fine person. She helped many families/students throughout the years behind the scenes. She truly embodied the term "Christian servant". RIP to a great lady.

God rest your soul, Sister, Maureen. You had such an impact on so many, including my three children at Saint James, Andrea, Nicolas, and Brent Werner. Thank you for the wonderful memories, the smiles, the laughter and the love. You will be missed by so many.
