Pop-pop was, earnestly, the greatest grandpa. He could make you smile at any given moment, just with his own smile. His jokes were perfectly timed and lit up the whole room with his saxophone talents. I'm truly so grateful for the seventeen years I got to know him for. He'll be missed by so many for a plethora of reasons. I looooove you and miss ya', Pop, but I know you're lookin' after all of us!

To the Weiss family I have great respect for Stan. He was my husbands contemporary and although I do not use a bari in my band My husband Howie had Stan on the top of his list. When Stan would say something funny I would burst out and he would say, Can I rent you out to laff on demand. I'm saddened by his passing and Drew said it best each time another great player dies , it is a tremendous loss for all of us. Denise Black and the BlackMagicSwingBand

Stan, my friend.
We met in Pittsburgh PA and Stan came to a jazz club I was playing in. He was on the Hall Kantor band at the time. They needed a horn player and he got me on the band. That was a lifetime ago. We have been close friends ever since.
One of my fondest memories is when we played together at his daughter, Jane's wedding. We had a great time! I will remember him for more than just his great musicianship. I thank God for putting Stan in my life all these...

My Pop Pop was the most amazing grandpa that any girl could ask for. He was so caring, so loving, and hilarious! There was never a dull moment when Pop Pop was around. I am so proud to be his second born grandchild. He was with the family when I took my first steps! He always liked to tell me that story. His spirit will live on through all of us. I love you so much Pop Pop and I miss you!
Love Always,
Your Amanda

As a sound engineer in the Atlantic City Casinos for the last 30 years, I've had the opportunity to work with Stan many times. He was a great musician, consummate professional, and always a gentleman. He will be missed by all here at Caesars. Our sympathies to his family.

Stan was a lifelong friend of my father, Buzzy Renn. Stan was the coolest and one of the best. He spoke so beautifully at my father's services in 2004 and my family will always keep that in our fondest memories. My condolences to his wife and family. Stan, we love you and will miss you. You put in a good one.

Stan sat on my left for many years at Caesar's. Aside from being funnier than most of the comedians we played, his sage advice and wisdom helped make a young husband and father better at both. He was the best bari player in the business and his talent and spirit can't be replaced. I'll miss him.
