Not sure what to say?

A true gentleman and kind friend. Stan loved his family most of all. He will be missed.

Stan was kind, thoughtful, and just wonderful to be with. He will be missed.

Stan was a friend , one of the most compassionate and competent physicians whom I have known , and a beautiful human being. I am saying prayers for the gift of his life he gave to so many people. Ed Boston

Have known Stancel, as a friend and worked with him since he was a Surgery Resident at UAB. As a CRNA I had the pleasure of witnessing his gift as a brilliant, skillful and caring Gentleman Surgeon. He shared his knowledge and help with anyone who wanted to learn and improve their skills. He was one of a kind. So sorry to hear of Stancel´s passing! May GOD bless!

An amazing surgeon who brought so much to Huntsville Hospital; who was so gifted and was such a generous person; he was so kind and always such a pleasure to be around with. He will truly be remembered for all he did; he gave so much. We truly lost a friend but God has gained a awesome soul.

Not just a excellent CV surgeon, but also a wonderful man, teacher and friend. His legacy casts a large shadow and his smile beams brightly from heaven.

A man we simply don´t have enough words to describe our admiration and love for. Our lives are better because he was a big part of them.

I first had the privilege of meeting Stancel when I entered seventh grade at Pittman Junior High School. He graduated from Hueytown High School a year ahead of me. He was in his UAB surgical residency program when I was in medical school. Stancel was a real gentleman, with a good heart, gifted hands, and a brilliant mind. The world is poorer for his absence.
