Not sure what to say?

What a remarkable mind, intellect and intuition. Dr. Jonas had a keen way of connecting the dots and sizing up an issue with incredible sharpness. His direct, no-nonsense demeanor coupled with caring, support and real world advice made his lessons impactful. 15 years later, I still refer back to many of these conversations.

The staff of the Columbia University Affiliation and Harlem Hospital remember Stanislaw Jonas with much fondness and admiration. He was a remarkable psychiatrist and gerontologist who did so many things to lighten the burdens of his countless patients. As stated previously, he developed an award winning Gerontology Service within the Department of Psychiatry. He provided a remarkable geriatric psychiatry consultation service for all the inpatient and outpatient services at Harlem Hospital....

My partner and I had the extreme good fortune to have stumbled upon Dr. Jonas when seeking a therapist in 2013. We benefitted greatly from his expertise during what were the last years of his life. The care and love for his work was evident from the first day, and we were constantly amazed at his wisdom, memory, intellectual sharpness, sense of humor, and compassion. We will always remember him with love, and we miss him.

I was lucky to have found Dr. Jonas as my therapist. His mind was so sharp and he had such a great sense of humor. It made going to therapy fun as well as insightful. It always astonished me how he remembered so many details. He helped me a lot and I imagine he helped countless others in his lifetime. R.I.P. Dr. Jonas

I met Dr Jonas when I was a psychiatry resident in the 80's. He was my supervisor, mentor and throughout the years, a well respected colleague. He was a physician with a strong, commanding presence and a keen understanding of psychiatry. He listened intently and was able to communicate very difficult information to patients with compassion and humanity. I always left him feeling like he gave me a little gift...a pearl of wisdom that would help me in my career and in my life. ...

He was a great man, in the truest sense of the word.
I will remember his words for the rest of my life.

A kind supportive and thoughtful therapist I was lucky to have had him as mine for a number of years

To his loving family and friends, im sorry for your loss. May our heavenly father bring comfort to you. Mathew 5:4
